The topic of Gun Control has come forth onto the stage of discussion in the media once again, after yet another mass shooting at an American school. Some Americans feel very deeply that this is a call to action, and that it’s time to do something about it. Something needs to change. Others feel very deeply that new laws won’t stop anything – and that conversation gets much deeper and divided and complex as it goes on.

I’m not here today to argue for or against any of these topics – but I would like to outline a couple reasons why a Bitcoin is more dangerous than a gun.

  1. You can hide a Bitcoin in your mind.

Bitcoin can exist purely as data. You have the ability to create a wallet, memorize the seed phrase & effectively carry it around with you in your brain. Depending on your memory ( memory palace, anyone? ) you can carry anywhere from several to many different bitcoin wallets around with you, literally anywhere you go. Of course if you tell anyone the seed phrase, or you write it down and someone finds it; that would compromise the wallet, but there is no way to look at a person and know if they have a bitcoin brain wallet.

There is no detector that can check for it. It is not (easily) taken away. It exists in the hardest part of human society to reach – the inner mind.

  1. Bitcoin can’t be banned.

There is almost a HILARIOUS amount of news stories the crop up from year to year about China banning bitcoin. It happens over and over – with many countries actually.

They all seem to follow the same format of thinking – that is, that bitcoin is a thing that exists in a way in which it is possible to ban it. It simply does not exist that way.

Bitcoin is a technology that is ushering in an entirely new era of human financial rights and it has been discovered and there is no “turning it off”….Don’t think so? Well, take an automobile, for example. Imagine every automobile on the planet were to suddenly disappear.

What would happen? Well the knowledge of combustion engines wouldn’t disappear with them, people would begin to build their own cars. Because they have to get places, and they know the technology exists.

  1. You don’t have to understand Bitcoin to use it.

If you want to use Bitcoin, the learning curve to basic use is low. Like, really low.

Like most modern technology since the 40’s, you don’t actually have to know HOW it works to know that it DOES work. We may not understand how radio frequency works, but we understand that we can use a penny and some wire and a speaker to catch signals of music out of the air.

You don’t have to know how to build a cellular phone in order to know how one works. Although – when technology is first emerging it is almost always misused by those who misunderstand it. To use automobiles as an example again; when the first automobiles in the United States where rolling off the lines – the first 10 years they didn’t have steering wheels. They used stirrups, like with a horse. Because that was what they were used to, they didn’t realize until long after that it wasn’t necessary.

There is no way to use Bitcoin so “wrongly” that one dies. At least , not that I have ever heard about.

Bitcoin is a overall, a safe technology. HOWEVER – bitcoin is a very real danger to the old monetary system – the very, corrupt core of the system – that controls the money and controls the world and in effect, controls you.

It does this without harming anyone, with no threats of violence & without saying a single word. Bitcoin simply exists. And every day that Bitcoin exists is a day in which we are collectively giving LESS power to the global fractional reserve banking cartels who print money at will and make and break economies, countries & the spirits of free people.

There is nothing more dangerous than that. And what weapon did they use? It was the weapon of concentrated, centralized power. It was the weapon of secrecy.

The second Amendment states ” A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. ” . But what if it WAS infringed? What if a group of powerful and influential people got together way back in the early 1900’s ( Way after the constitution was written ) and decided that the BEST way they could control a free people was to….enslave them in debt? Corral them all into tax farms and control the supply & value of money?

What could save us then? When war is about money, what happens to war when the fundamental nature of money changes? When the system fails – what happens to the people who control the system?

As far as I can see, that is the ONLY problem with the 2nd amendment – and Bitcoin fixes it.
